Hard to believe that April is well under way and that SLC's are this week. Your child will lead their SLC with their connections teacher but if you would like to meet with any of us to discuss progress and goals please feel free to reach out. With just two months left of the school year we are busy exploring content, creating projects and also becoming more self-reliant. The team therefore will pull back a little more as far as reminders and such as we try to help the students gain more independence.
We have started discussing potential students for summer school and will connect further with the families of students discussed.

Maps will be due toward the end of the week for a quiz.

Questions to ask your student about math:
-How do you find the surface area of a rectangular prism?
-How do you find the volume of a rectangular prism?

Students will perform their TED talk next Tuesday. Remind them to practice at home. They have spent a lot of time researching, writing, and practicing. The talks are turning out great!

We finished our inquiry into what influences us with more questions than answers but I loved seeing the discussion development the students underwent. We now start a choose your own path review unit for the next two weeks. To see the unit, please go to mrsripp.com
