It’s the end of the quarter this coming Wednesday, October 28th! It is hard to believe that the first quarter of 7th grade is already over, we are so grateful for the time with students and yet it also feels like we are just getting to know the kids. Please continue to reach out to us with questions, feedback, and concerns, we are truly trying to work as a team to reach every child and help them feel safe, supported, and interested in 7th grade.
Because the quarter ends on Wednesday, most teachers close the grading window that day as well. That means that for many teachers, they will no longer accept missing assignments after Wednesday unless otherwise stated. This provides teachers with a few days to create quarter grades and also the students a clean slate for quarter 2.
To Do:
The end of the quarter means that it is time for a supply return/pick up. All 7-O students should come to OMS one of the following times to either pick up or drop art supplies* and, for those in orchestra, pick up new music and solo/ensemble medals. There is also a special surprise from the 7-O team for every one of our Sharks; we hope you think it is jawsome!
October 28 11-1 drive up in bus loop
October 29 & 30 8-6 contactless in the main office foyer
*Students that have Art scheduled on orange days received supply kits at the beginning of the year and should be returning those to OMS. Students that have Art scheduled on black days will begin class 2nd quarter, and they will have supply kits to pick up at OMS.
Things to know:
The end of quarter 1 is October 28th
No school October 29th and 30th
