Interested in Chaperoning Our Urban Challenge?
What is Urban Challenge:
This is a field trip focused on team building, problem-solving, and building and getting to know our community. Modeled after the Amazing Race, teams of students navigate the streets (and busses) of Madison to visit unique places and complete challenges. For each challenge completed, they earn CARE cash (like Monopoly money) to be deposited into their account. Students will have already planned their routes before the actual day and have with them maps marked out with their planned route. That route will surely change throughout the day. You will be given money for the bus as well as any entry fees. There will be bonus challenges provided to the teams on the day of and those can be completed at any time throughout the day.
You are there for safety, not to lead the team or be a resource. The hardest part of the day is not leading the team, especially when they want to go the wrong way.
Date: October 10th and morning of October 11th (optional)
Time: October 10th: 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, if you can join us on Oct 11th it is from 7:55 to about 8:30 AM
What: Supervise a team of 7-O students as they navigate Madison. Note: You will not be placed with your own learner as this can affect the team.
Let Pernille Ripp psripp@oregonsd.net if you are interested - this is not a commitment but just a show of interest.
