Holiday Connections Challenge

Good morning,
We are excited to announce the OMS Holiday Connections Challenge, a very worthwhile challenge that helps people right in our community.  Read on for more details!

Basically, it is a simple money collection where we have the Connections classes compete to see who can bring in the monetary donations to help purchase Christmas gifts to families in need.

Student Council members will come to our Connections classes each day next week and collect money which will then be used at the end of the week to purchase presents for those students and families who are part of our OMS community and in need this holiday season.

Last year we raised just over $5,465.55.  We realize this was an amazingly successful year so, as a school, we have set a goal to get back to $3,000 again this year.

What Happens With the Money?
On Friday, December 16th, around twenty members of the OMS Student Council will go to the Janesville Mall for the afternoon and will shop with the money earned for gifts for those in need during this holiday season.
All of the money is used to help purchase gifts for people and families in both the OMS community.  We have over 60 students that Shannon, Josh and the OMS Guidance department have worked with who are on our list of those in need this year.  For many of these families, without this program they may not have gifts for the holidays.

This is the largest group of students/families we have ever bought gifts for so we really need everyone who can to come together to help! We understand that not all OMS students and families will be able to donate to this cause, any small amount matters.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
Best,
7-O team
