Newsletter October 10, 2015

What an awesome experience we had at Urban Challenge!!!  The students did a great job of staying together and being safe.  Some groups really ran with the Amazing Race theme and worked hard to gather 4000 or more points.  Today, as we de-briefed and processed the whole experience, it was interesting to hear what students learned about themselves, their peers and Madison.  You should ask your student what he/she took away from the day.  The final part of our day today will be spent sharing presentations that the groups had created and it was a lot of fun to see those.  We may post a few on our blog so be sure to check back periodically.  All year long, we will use the skills and assets that we started to build these last few days.  We always have room for growth but this experience was a great place to start.  Your students got lots of compliments from business owners and community members as they made their way through the city; we really have a FIN-tastic group of students.
